Bradley Scott Burleson

Bradley Scott Burleson, 54, of Concord passed away, Sunday March 10, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

Memorial Service will be held 6pm, Friday March 15^th at Community Church of Mt. Pleasant, 400 N. Main St., Mt. Pleasant NC 28124. The Burleson family will receive friends from 4-6 prior to the service.

Scott was born January 31, 1970 in Stanly County to Michael Ray and the late Bobbie Elaine Troublefield Burleson. He was a 1988 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, 1992 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and recipient of the Paul Douglas Teachers Scholarship. He spent 29 years as a teacher and coach for Cabarrus County Schools. He was a faithful member of Community Church of Mt. Pleasant, volunteer at Mt. Pleasant Food Ministry, leader of many youth football and basketball camps and an avid Tarheel and Catawba football fan. Above all else, he loved the Lord and his family. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother Todd Burleson and a nephew Dylan Burleson.

He is survived by his father Michael Burleson; the love of his life, wife Missy Burleson; sons Zach Mayo and wife Maddie, and Matt Burleson (Chloe); daughter Mandy Summerlin and husband Ryan; grandchildren Reid and Ava Summerlin; sisters Kim Smith (Terry), Jennifer Almond (Brian); in laws Glen and Ann Maynard; sister in laws Natalie Burleson, Teresa Evans (Rodney), Beth Huneycutt (Alan) and Lisa Bartram (Greg) and many nieces and nephews and his honorary daughter Catherine Faile.
