Bobby Lee Fisher, 86, of Mt. Pleasant passed away at his home Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
The Fisher family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Gordon Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A celebration of Bobby’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at Gordon Funeral Home with the Rev. Josh White officiating. Burial will follow at Running Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
A life-long Cabarrus County native, Bobby was born Jan. 28, 1931, to the late Guy Earl Fisher, Sr., and Margie Shoe Fisher. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Annie Lou Lambert Fisher who died in 2011.
Bobby proudly served his country in the Korean War as a corporal in the U.S. Army. His working life was spent in the maintenance department of Cannon Mills. An outdoorsman, Bobby enjoyed hunting, field trials with dogs, baseball and classic cars. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include a daughter Pamela F. Kuhn; a son, Kevin Fisher (Mandy); grandchildren, John Cress (Erin), Nolan Kuhn (Rachel) and Aaron Kuhn, Blake Fisher (Tanya), Stacy Fisher, Shelby Fisher and Emma Fisher; and four great-grandchildren
