Bobby Gene Allman, 78, of Concord, NC passed peacefully from this world to his eternal home on April 26, 2025 at the Tucker Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby was born January 24, 1947 in Concord, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Vivian Allman, his brother Wayne Allman, and his sister Janette King.
He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandpa. Bobby welcomed all as a part of the family and loved to host his annual barbeques. He was an avid runner and loved woodworking, especially building bluebird boxes. He proudly served in Vietnam as part of the United States Army’s HHC 67th Signal Battalion. Bobby worked many years with Western Electric in Charlotte and retired from over 20 years of service in law enforcement.
Bobby is survived by his wife and favorite dance partner, Loretta; brother Harley (Gloria) Cook; his children Jennifer Schultz, Lauren (Brandon) Hunt , Alisha Eudy, Heather (Kyle) Commerford, and Wesley (Vicki) Allman; his grandchildren Jack Schultz, Olivia Moore, Brayden Hunt, Brylan Hunt, and Parker Eudy.
Memories of Bobby will be cherished by many other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be held 12noon, Thursday, May 1 at Parkwood Baptist Church, 1069 Central Drive NW, Concord NC 28027. Family will receive friends from 11-12 prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at 10am, Monday May 5, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Baptists on Mission, PO Box 1107, Cary, North Carolina 27512; Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Ln., Kannapolis NC 28081 or the charity of your choice.
