Beulah Whitaker Eury

Beulah May Whitaker Eury age 88, , Mt. Pleasant, NC, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016, at her home. Funeral service will be 4:00pm Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church 32056 Herrin Grove Road, Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124, officiated by Rev. Beau Linker; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00pm prior to the service. She was born December 24, 1927 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late John Daniel and Eva Mae Whitaker. She was a dedicated and active member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Mrs. Dianne Boutwell Hagler of Rock Hill SC, Danny Whitaker of Salisbury, Judy York of Ramsuer, Marie Smith of Raleigh, and Pat Efird of Mt. Pleasant, Johnny Boutwell of Albemarle and Clarece Walton of Lexington. Beulah was blessed to have 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew that she helped raise: Crystal Slough of Rock Hill SC, Hannah Rowland of Mt. Pleasant, and Alan Moore of Kannapolis. She loved her 5 great great nieces and nephews, Nikki Griswald of Raleigh, Allison Whitaker of Salisbury, William Rowland of Mt. Pleasant, Betti and James Moore II of Rock Hill SC. Beulah was also blessed with having an Eury family with her late husband Leroy Eury. Her surviving sisters in law are: Mrs. Edith Eury Smith, Mrs. Faye Eury Hurlocker and Maye Eury Tomkinson (Jimmy), all of Mt. Pleasant. Nieces and Nephews are: Mrs. Beverly Deal (Roger), Rev. Roxanne Almond (Douglas), Mr. & Mrs. Devon Tomkinson (Jeanie), all of Mt. Pleasant NC. Mr. David Tomkinson (Marsha) of Charlotte. Lesa Smithka and Loretta Trull both of Mt. Pleasant. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice in her name.
