Barry Allison Hammill

Barry Allison Hammill, 64, of Gold Hill passed away Wednesday November 23, 2022.

Funeral services will be held 3pm, Monday November 28, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Randy Powell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Hammill family will receive friends from 1-3 prior to the service.

Barry was born November 18, 1958 in Cabarrus County to the late Billy and Elizabeth “Lib” Williams Hammill. He was a 1977 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, where he was heavily involved in athletics, playing football, wrestling and running track. He was a lifelong active member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.  He was the co-owner of Hammill Logging. When not working he enjoyed working on tractors and his 1966 mustang. He was a compassionate person always caring for others; especially to his grandchildren which he was a devoted and proud Pawpaw. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Joseph, Alton and Libby Hammill Flowers.

He is survived by his wife Gina Flowe Hammill; sons Bradley and wife Taylor, Wesley and wife Alaina; his little heroes Owen, Brooks, Levi, Claire and Tate; brothers Kelly and wife Lana, Larry and wife Penny and David Hammill. Also special lifelong friend Kirby Allen and wife Judy.
