Annita Gayle Marchese

Annita Gayle Helmick Marchese, 87, of Harrisburg passed away, Saturday November 20, 2021 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus. Graveside service will be held 11:00am Wednesday November 24, 2021 at, West Virginia National Cemetery, Grafton WV. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Annita was born September 2, 1934 in Harrison County WV, to the late Asa and Emma Gibson Helmick. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and solitaire player on her computer. She graduated from WV Business College in Clarksburg. She retired from the Taylor County Board of Education She also enjoyed spending time with her furry friend Roscoe. Her husband of 58 years Thomas M. Marchese and a daughter Beth Grey preceded her in death She is survived by two sons, Thomas Craig Marchese (Crystal) of Grafton, WV, and Stuart Andrew Marchese (Carrie) of Mannington, WV; one daughter, Peggy Sue Dickey (Randy) of Harrisburg; a brother Billy Helmick of Norton OH, and a sister Lola Workman of Grafton WV; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
