Amanda Jean Purser

Amanda Jean Purser met her Savior on 3/11/22 while members of her family surrounded her. Amanda was born on 6/27/79 and graduated from A.L. Brown High School. She also attended Rowan Tech and UNCC. Amanda worked for the family business but found her niche in the banking industry.

Amanda’s memorial service will be Sunday, March 20 at Gordon Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant at 4pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The service will be conducted by Dr. Chris King and Rev. Todd Davis.

Amanda is survived by her parents Terry and Nancy Hollopeter Purser, her beloved children, Kinley Nicole Guilbe, Samantha Corrine Guilbe, Alyvia Jean Perry and Abram Michael Perry.  She is also survived by a grandson Carter Sloan Beaver.  Amanda is survived by her two sisters Nicole Ann Purser (Michael Wetherby) and Erin Troutman (Kevin).

Amanda was predeceased by her grandparents and great grandparents.

Amanda had numerous aunts and uncles who were always there to love her, help raise her and protect her as well as her many cousins who were her playmates.

We will greatly miss her beautiful laugh, as well as her bold and uncomplicated view of life.

The family would like to thank Dr. Amin and Linda Hicks, PA for their courageous battle to ease Amanda’s pain and care for her.  We would also like to thank all of the staff at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House who took such great care of Amanda and her family.

A special thanks to everyone who prayed for her recovery and offered help to her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Relay for Life, or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
