Mr. Richard "Dick" Warren Fairbanks, 79 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away November 29, 2014 at CMC- Northeast.
Funeral and interment services will be at a later date in Foxboro, MA.
The Fairbanks family will receive friends from 4-6pm Tuesday 12/2/14 at Gordon Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
Mr. Fairbanks was born July 4, 1935 in Boston, MA son of the late Richard W. Fairbanks, Sr. and Helen Pevear Fairbanks. He was a volunteer fireman at Millingport Volunteer Fire Department for seventeen years. He retired from the Foxboro Company with twenty years service as a Tool Maker. He formerly served the Police Department in Norwood and Foxboro, MA in the 60's thur 70's. He was a Mason, and member of the Shrine and Scottish Rites. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was known to some as the man with the German Shepherd in the back of his truck. He was preceded in death by his first wife Beverly L. MacLeod Fairbanks who died in 1979.
Mr. Fairbanks is survived by his wife Barbara Moore Fairbanks, family members include, children, Patty Ann Lamamgo, Jonie Marie Fairbanks, Donald R. Fairbanks, David J. Fairbanks and Phillip LaPorte , sisters, Barbara Dorset and Jean Bergeron, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
