Preston Eugene Adcock

Preston Eugene “Gene” Adcock, 66, of Concord passed away November 19, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cabarrus. A celebration of life service will be held 10am Sunday November 29 at Northwest Baptist Church, 3500 Trinity Ch. Rd., Concord NC 28027, officiated by Rev. John Lindsay. Mr. Adcock was born November 13, 1954 in Cabarrus County to the late James Adcock and Ann Torrence Love. He served the lord through his ministry as a Baptist Pastor in congregations in North and South Carolina. He also loved spending time outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He was also known by his family and friends as someone that could fix anything and loved working with his hands. He was also preceded in death by his step father Richard Love, Sr. He is survived by his wife Hope Belk Adcock; son Daniel Philip Adcock and wife Jennifer; daughter Crystal Michelle Wright and husband Shelley; brother Jimmy Adcock and wife Saundra; sister Doris Hatley and husband Danny; stepbrothers Randy Love and wife Cindy, Richard Love, Jr. and wife Sydney; grandchildren Kyla, Caleb, Chloe and Connor. Memorials in Mr. Adcock’s honor may be made to Union County Crisis Assistance Ministry, 1335 W Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
