Margaret Burris

Mrs. Margaret Shoe Burris, 93, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, August 22, 2014. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Sunday(Aug.24) at Salem United Methodist Church; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the funeral service in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Burris (Mom) was born November 27, 1920 in Stanly County daughter of the late George W. Shoe and Madie Shoe. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy I. Burris, a son Don Burris and a daughter, Lovine Burris Smith. Survivors include son Bob Burris (Jean), Mrs. Don (Joy) Burris, grandchildren, Donna Smith Penninger (Kenny) Robin Futherford (Joe), Susan B. Self (Howard), Ashley Burris, Kristi Burris-Silverman (Adam), Nikki Burris-Cartwright (Gray) great grandchildren, Matt Penninger (Talia), Nate Penninger, Ryan Rutherford, Trey, Garison and Burris Self, Robert Gray Cartwright, brothers John, Alton, George, "June Bug" and Ray Shoe, sisters, Pauline Eudy, Dot Parsons, Faye Lambert and Linda Almond.
