Joseph Paul Krall

Joseph Paul Krall passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021, in Concord, NC. He was 90 years old. Joe was predeceased by his parents, John and Elizabeth Krall, his brother John, and his sister Mary. He is survived by his sisters Anna and Irene; his wife Eleanor of 70 years; his children, David, Gary, Jeff, Brad and Valerie; and his grandchildren, Brian, Justin, and Davonna; and great-grandchild Devi. Joe was born in Thompson, PA on November 23, 1930. He graduated from Thompson High School where he met Eleanor. They married in 1951 and began their family. Joe was a combat veteran of the Korean War where he served as a mortar man and sergeant. He and Eleanor then purchased the family dairy farm that they operated with their sons for many years. Joe and Eleanor relocated to the warmer climate of North Carolina in 1981. He enjoyed woodworking, dancing, and photography. Joe was known as a very friendly and talkative person who loved to joke and laugh, as well as trying to teach others how to speak Slovak any chance that he could. He will be greatly missed by many friends and extended family. Joe had chosen the option of cremation and no formal funeral will be held other than a gathering of immediate family. Joe always referred to himself as a very lucky person who lived a full life.
